cheers, have read that before- reads like a shampoo advert (although not as bad), written by someone whose never been in a lab
I don't have a problem with the theoretical physics, I just think they should be more open and honest. No one would really care if they had said it was for marketing but make a mockery of science with some mumbo jumbo and people do.
Anyway, if I switch to Canon I already have the black covers I need earmarked for the corresponding lenses. That's bound to keep them toasty![]()
Nikon produced several lenses in tropical grey at one time also stating it was in regards to keeping the temperature down, as an aside a few years ago one of my mates repainted from white to dark blue the hull on his clinker built yacht, during a long hot spell the wood shrunk so much it almost sank, it's white again now lol
