I had to change my Gmail password the other week because it had been compromised. Since then every time I go onto Flickr I get the warning shown in the image below appear.

Flickr is logged into with a different email address (my own domain). I have checked my settings over and over but this thing still keeps popping up.

Any explanation would be welcome. It's driving me nutz

But you didn't change the password on Flickr...
Or did you?

BTW, do you have a Facebook account?

You can link Flickr and Facebook. If you are signed on in Facebook you can log on to Flickr using 'sign in with Facebook', surprisingly!

No didn't change the Flickr password. Didn't see the need to when it's not connected with a Gmail email addy.

My Flickr images are posted to FB but that is also logged into with my own personal domain email address.

I've checked all the things linked with Flickr such as Big Huge Labs stuff etc

I'd log in with the option 'forgotten password'. They'll send you a link to set up a new one.

Did you allow Flickr access to your Gmail account for finding friends perhaps? You should be able to tell in your Gmail security settings.

It doesn't seem like it. If it happens when you login to the website, it seems likely to be the website attempting to access a Google service of some description. Do you have the Google activity log enabled? Maybe that might give you an idea?

You can sign into Flickr using Gmail login credentials...if you did that and also have it set to "remember" you so you don't have to log into flickr every time it might explain the issue...

Try logging out and back in.

How do I have the Google activity log enabled? I looked in my settings but couldn't see anything referring to that.

I have now added my Gmail address to Flickr and made it my primary contact address. We'll see what happens.

Can I just check the obvious and this isn't Chrome asking for the log in and not Flickr?

If you are logged into Chrome and you change your Google password, you will need to re enter you password in Chrome.

It might be Chrome detecting Flickr and trying to do something for you that is prompting this error?
