Gitzo.....or not.

I ordered from the Gitzo website before Christmas and the tripod came directly from a dealer so might be worth making an order anyway

I wanted to but they don't accept my non UK address.

As I can't find this special anywhere else in Europe,
would a UK resident order for me?

… I will transfer the fonds up front of course and cover
all costs for sure!

You could try http://www.harrisoncameras.co.uk.

This is where mine came from - they still have some systematics on sale and quote delivery to Austria at £14.95

The special seems to be a Gitzo offer delivered by Harrison
but not offered by harrison!?!?!?!

I'm not sure if the ones currently on sale with Gitzo would come from Harrison or another dealer, that's just where mine came from at the time. When ordering with Gitzo I seem to remember the ts&cs saying it may come direct from Gitzo or from a dealer with stock. I assume they have some sort of arrangement where dealers with stock can fulfil Gitzo orders.

As an aside, I didn't know it was coming from Harrison until I had a delivery update from them.

No harm in calling Harrison cameras, I did and got a healthy result meaning a few extra :beer:and the missus and stamp collection didn't go hungry.

I saved up and went for a GItzo travel tripod (GITZO T1542T SER.1 6X) and haven't looked back. I've changed camera a few times, even camera system, and it's still going strong. One of the best investments I've made. I hear Benro are pretty good now, so if this were to break I will take a look at them too...
