Cannot agree more. Best movie for ages.
I have read the three books in the trilogy and think the film makers have done a great job with it.
I also agree that it is (highly) unlikely that any Hollywood version will come up to scratch. The stories have the North European feel (although not the content) of Henning Mankell's 'Wallander' and this film captures it extremely well.

Agree that it was an excellent series of books, though I haven't seen the film yet. I have a nasty feeling that I may have missed it in the cinemas around here and, if that's the case, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it comes out on DVD.
