Hi

Does anyone use Gimp? I was wondering if there are any online manuals to get the most of this software.

Is there any other free or cheap software that's good. Funds are right at the moment.

Yes, Youtube is great for Gimp tutorials. And if you have questions, ask them on http://www.gimp-forum.net for example.
It is worth installing Gimp version 2.9.4. Which is a major upgrade over v2.8 so you get used to the new interface already.
