Just downloaded it from there website but can,t find it anywhere on my laptop? Can anybody help please?

hmmmmmmm does the search option not find it either,..????

anything downloaded goes mainly to program files, although it may be in there under a different name.

i have avast antivirus, but in progfiles its main folder is called awil, with avast inside.

Where do you downloads normally go? Have you looked in My Documents/Downloads?

Download it again, when it asks you to download save it to your desktop. or go on start- search and type gimp.

If you downloaded using firefox click tools - downloads - its shows what you have downloaded last. Then just double click it.
