Gimp help please

heyalp.
I'm half way through a job and want to save all the layers seperately - any way I can do this? I've been using it for a couple of years now but have never had to stop halfway through!

I don't use gimp but you should be able to save the file with all the layers intact you may have the option for PSD or failing that Tiff can save with layers.
Or do you mean save the layers as seperate files? you should be able to copy each layer and paste it into a new document. If your really lucky gimp will have an option to export layers as files.

wasn't sure if I needed to use some wierd file extemsion but if it saves in tiff then ideal.

asked to flatten the layers for saving due to it not being supported.

Try turning it to 16 bit, that may make a difference (haven't got gimp to try) it hasn't got psd I assume.

Found it - it's an .xcf file (gimp version of psd).
