Gimbal Head

go to e-bay i paid £39 for my gimbal head i use it with my nikon 200-500mm lens no problem what so ever
don't think that the more expensive it is the better it is there are a lot of brand snobs on here

I would say that the more expensive ones are better... but like most things in photography, the price goes up exponentially for small gains. Tripod heads are a lot like tripod legs... you can't really know/understand the differences until you've used them. But that's not to say the differences are worth the costs, that's a personal choice.

That’s very true and I must admit after using various gitzo’s they just feel quality compared to others I’ve used, all have done the job of holding the camera up but the gitzos have just felt better to use, not sure they are worth anything near their price but are very good quality
 
The Lensmaster includes two QR plates, one small and a long one. Rob even gave me a 150mm instead of a 140mm so I could screw into the lens foot using two screws for security!
