giff gaff

hi anybody on here use this net work ?

Not yet but thinking of switching to them as my Desire is on O2 and as Giff Gaff uses the same network it seems the best option.
A couple of my colleagues at work are on the £10 a month plan and they say it is good, especially with the unlimited data aspect.

It's good. Hubb's and I are on GiffGaff and when one of us is away we can top up with 10quid and get free calls/texts to each other for 3 months.
Sensible amounts of data is cheap too, 25MB a day any more and it pays to get a goodie bag.

have ordered a couple of sims for me and the head of the war office as at the moment we are on diff networks ...hopefully it will be ok

It's great when it works but if you have problems you can be without service for days or weeks! There have been quite a few issues recently with failed number ports and people getting internet access cut off for over use (how when it is unlimited is a mystery and against ofcom's rules on unlimited)

Agent responses are days not 24 hours. Card payments have been problematic and so have goodybag purchases for a lot of people. Website is buggy.

Luckily apart from the odd hiccup in the beginning I've been ok.

I've never had a problem with - number porting was easy & quick; never had problems with internet access, calls or text.

I've been with Giffgaff since May 2010, so coming up for two years. I've had no problems and the account and service has run smoothly for me.

I'm a light user, with a smartphone, and to date I have spent only £30 in credit and thanks to referral cash back my balance is still over £30 and I have taken income from the account as well. In other words I am actually in profit. Recommended. :)

Oh, and of you want more than one SIM then get the first one from a referral link and you each get £5 extra credit, and once you have your account up and running then order the additional SIM(s) from your own account and get the benefit of the referral for yourself.

I've been with them for about 3 or 4 months now, buying a £10 goody bag every month. This gives me 250 mins, and unlimited texts and internet.

I'd say i'm a medium user, and so far haven't had any problems with the service.

Been with them for 6 months and love it. No problems at all.
As previous, actually in profit overall.
If anyone would like a sim, I have a couple to send on and we BOTH get £5 credit when activated. Just PM me.
Just to make it clear, they are totally free!

Brill payg network, i was with them for over a year and not a single problem, and like stated above if you refere people you get £5, i got £170 for the yr i was with them.

They are really good. Used them for about 3 months now and no complaints. £10 a month for an IPhone4s is ideal IMO

Bought my wife an iphone 4 for xmas and put her on giff gaff, easy to set up and at £10 a month for 250 minutes, unlimted texts and 3g she is a well happy bunny. Has not stopped smiling for weeks, which is unlike her lol.

Another vote for here! Both me and SWMBO switched and both spend significantly less than we did with O2, with no real difference in service.

I looked at them a we while ago, but they don't seem to support tethering / personal hotspot, so I'd lose functionality with my ipad.

Shame really as it looks a great deal.

I don't have a 3G iPad, if I'm away from a by hotspot, or other wifi zone I connect using the iPhone.

Plus one....I've been through hell getting my stuff activated by them. The community support is a nice idea but is filled by wannabe technicians who actually just repeat what they read.

Underlying network is just O2 so a bit meh...For me I just wanted it for a 3G router.

Also I tried to add another sim for my old iPhone to give to my daughter, and you can't have multiple sims on a single account. You have to create a new account and login details for each one.

It is cheap, and I have found the drawbacks....

registered and bought some credit now waiting for activation 30 minutes me arse

As above really, I've been using them for just under a year, no issues what so ever, ported my old number within 24 hours of requesting. Only using the £10 per month good bags so not a heavy user but suits my needs.

Thanks for ordering from my link. You can use the link again and again or wait until your own SIM arrives and then use your own referral. They might even send a spare SIM or two for you to hand out, linked to your account for referral purposes.

p.s. I've just realised it's my two year anniversary with Giffgaff this month. I've still only spent £30 in total on credit, have a balance of almost £20 (I bought a goodybag in April) and have £15 accumulated in referrals, so still a zero net cost to run the phone for two years.

You can use the same links as many times as you want sims.

I believe the posting of referral links is against the TP rules guys
