ghost photography

Dave, after seeing your post I googled the orbs you were describing and just realised I had a P&S that used to pick them up regularly. I thought they were flash reflections of dust in the atmosphere or dust on the lens. It used to drive me insane with the amount of pics I got with them on. I'm sure I have some of the pics on a disc somewhere and will have to find it and have a good look at them.

In the vast majority of cases, they are.

The infrared video use in programs like Most Haunted are either because they're in a room with insufficient light, or to maintain a style. Sometimes you'll see that there's daylight coming in through the windows, and they're still filming in night vision.
 
I had friends who regularly went on ghost hunts paying up to £30 a time,they soon stopped when they found out they were staged.
