On another forum that I frequent (non-photographic), one of the regulars has just had a bill through from Getty images for £1900 for unauthorised use of 2 images on her website.
To cut a long story short, she is the second user of that forum to admit being caught by Getty in the last couple of years and even though they have pretty well laid out how to get around the financial problem, both are now strongly advising everybody to double check their websites etc. and to immediately take down any images for which they have no hard copy licensing or proof of ownership details.
It would be good to see this responsible (scared *hitless) attitude spread rapidly amongst the masses.
