I don't think I would be queueing up to go on that ferry.

“lips under the doors”In August '79 we (as a family) were coming home from Roscoff to Plymouth when the storm that caused the Fastnet race disaster hit. Made things a bit "hilly" but we never felt in any real danger. I was the only customer for the café once we hit open water and they were giving me sarnies to go with my cans of Coke. Karzis were rather unpleasant - they had lips under the doors so there was about 6" of puke floating about. The number of people throwing up into the wind was quite amusing!
Thanks.Super shot - great contrast between the surf and the dark menacing sky.
(Two little white dots in the sky look out of place - at 11 0'clock and 2 o'clock from the parapet)
I passed via upton on my way to work this morning, first time in two weeks! I can second the Marine lake look! So much so, I'm going to leave a couple hours earlier tomorrow to take some images.Just came back from Upton, Worcestershire (I was trying to get to Malvern...). It looks RIDICULOUS. It's more like a marine lake now - maybe 2 miles wide. The roads are all closed across severn and just inches away from completely flooding. It was too late for any pics so you just have to take my word.
