Ok the time has come to book my wedding

Neither of us are religious so looking for some ideas...

My sister got married on a Yacht last year in Cyprus which would be ideal - but its been done.

We love Greece, but not sure a wedding there would suit us, by that i mean most weddings are in a town hall or on a packed beach - Not really special.

Then theres the Caribean stuff...

Ive always wanted to go on Safari... but would i want my wedding over there...

Have you got married abroad? Any reccomendations...

Have you thought about Italy? I did one on the shores of Lake Como and it was superb, I can give you some contact details of the hotel organiser who did a magnificent job or if you want any more info drop me a PM or give me a call.

How about the registry office in Preston? It'll get you the same piece of paper to confirm you are married and it'll be a lot cheaper. You can then spend the rest of your money on the honeymoon of a lifetime.

Well if it was upto me.... ;) Maybe not Preston though ;)

I hadnt but something like that could well fit the bill. Thanks for the offer with info, i'll have a look and see.

My brother got married in Malcesine (small town on the edge of Lake Garda in Italy). They hired a local wedding organiser to co-ordinate everything and it all worked really well. Standing in a suit in 36C heat during the ceremony didn't work quite so well for me though, I was melting!

Mrs Wisemen and I got married in St Lucia, back in 2001. Absolutely fantastic, would recommend it to all.

I would say New Zealand, great if you don't want any friends or family there!
Truly awesome place that you wont forget!
Award winning togger for some ideas here

There seemed to be a hell of a lot of people getting married
in New York when I was there last spring.
It seemed to be the thing to do to have a photo shoot in the streets afterwards.....horse drawn carriage/yellow cab/rick shaw, that kind of thing.
If you haven't been there already, it's a great place to visit anyway.

I got married on the Thai island of Ko Samui 13 years ago and it was one of if not the first foreign wedding on the island, at the time it was very unique but sadly fromn what i have heard weddings out there are like the ones in the caribbean and like a conveyor belt. Where ever you do decide have a great day and may your wedded life be as happy as mine.

I got married in Rome last year, we hired a wedding co-ordinator to arrange it.

It was close enough for relatives to travel and far enough away to discourage the relatives we did not want there :-)

I would thoroughly recoemend it.
