Getting high drops?

I've just made a simple water drop setup about 1m high out of aquarium pipes and air flow restrictors, but I can't seem to get very high drops, only about an inch high. Is there anything I can change to get the drops higher? like changing the size of the drop or even raising my set up a bit higher? I would experiment but my camera is away getting a bit of TLC at the moment. I'd like to get some really tall drops like I'm seeing on some posts on this forum.

Cheers.

As someone who knows nothing about water drop photography :)

I'd suggest changing the surface tension of the receiving water, adding a little washing up liquid would do.
I would imagine that some of the energy is lost overcoming this.

Raising the height of the dropping apparatus would have little effect as the drops reach a terminal velocity quite quickly. I doubt they would reach 'normal' terminal velocity of about 120mph(I'm sure it's something like this figure, but feel free to correct me). Rain tends not to fall at this speed!
