Right, got a Canon 1Ds and a 430EX Mk2.

Want to do some work on water drop shots, so want to get the flash off the top of the cam.

So what are my best options. I am new to flash and everything, so need your advise. Would be best getting one of the Leads, that take the hotshoe to end of a cable, not shure how long these are, they are curly.

Or would I be best going to transmitter type thing?

HELP.

Easiest and possibly quickest way is to get a TTL lead from Jesssops, lets you get the flash a meter or so off the camera but your best bet is to read up on the strobist stuff Xtro linked to you.

If you're doing water drops, then the camera isn't going to be very far away from the flash, so you might as well use a TTL lead! It'll keep everything automatic, ad very easy!

Cheers everyone.

Ordered one of them TTL cords from a well known site.

Will give it a go next week when it arrives.
