I need to get a passport this week. Things have been really bad for me and I have decided to go and visit my parents in Australia ASAP. I am going to go to Peterborough passport office. Does anyone know anything about the place and especially if there is disabled parking at the office?
Thanks
Sue

Go to the office in liverpool and join the queue, they are issued on the spot but it may take around 4 hours providing all your docs are in order 24hr 7 day helpline 0906 110 0664.

Thanks. Liverpool is much too far for me. Peterborough is closer.

Lots of info here

Thank you. I will phone their info line on Tuesday. I dont suppose they are open til then.

Ring up and they will give you a time and a reference number. If you don't they won't let you in.
Be prepared to go through a metal detector and have your bag searched.

Ring sooner, in case lots of people are sitting thinking they want to get away after a lousy bank hol weekend.

Thank you Lawrie. very good advice. I have found a national number for appointments. I'll try it tomorrow morning.

There is an NCP right next door to Peterborough if I remember correctly, easy to get to on Sat Nav, as said phone in advance and be prepared to wait, can pick it up there and then :D

There are certainly roads around the Passport Office )if you are badged) and there is an NCP over the road next to the market. The NCP is not the easiest to navigate but there are lower disabled parking spaces. I have heard of several people getting tickets recently so I would be careful of taking a chance on parking where you should not.

Have you had a passport before ?.

If you haven't had a previous passport when you were an adult, I dont think you can get one on the same day, its a new rule they brought in a few years ago.

Yep, good luck and enjoy your Hol or wherever you are going to

Sue, don't forget you'll need an Aussie e-visa as well. I think you can get these online now, but my last one was 4 years ago and the travel agent did it. Cost us £20 each.

Hope everything with the passport goes to plan and hope you feel more like yourself again soon.
