but £200 p/w over 52 weeks divided by 12 (months) is only £866.

that would only leave you £316 for council tax, gas, electric etc...

you'll be living on beans, £200 a week isnt anywhere near enough

and what are costs of all those bills :S ive never done this before its all new to me

well i have the choice of moving my ex girlfriend and her baby with me how much is 13 grand a year in pay?

ahh i think i might be able to claim benfits with that then

council tax can be from £90 upwards depending on council and area,
gas and electric depending how you pay and what you use.
Phone
Tv Licence
Internet
Insurances
Food
Clothes
money for yourself.
Car money/petrol
or
Bus fares/train fares

On £200 a week with a £550 rent you wouldnt get very far.

Depending on circumstances you may get Working tax credits if your over 25, work 30 hours a week, and earn below a certain amount of money, but even the WTC is a pittance.

And why would you want to move your ex, and her child in with you?
Would that be just to get extra money from the government?

she needs a place to live oz shes split with her bf u see. and hes kicking her out.

well its either her or this compulsive gambler i know lol

or why not look for something more affordable?

its all around that price near where i want to work.

and it has to be in liverpool centre coz i wont drive. and yes i have a licence. so i need a place close to the place i will work. and i wont live in somewhere tatty. or in a bad area.

there is public transport and who is to say you will actually get a job near your house?
And do you really need to have a view over the marina?

well ive based it the jobs ive applied for. and no but i do need to be near the water

ashers when i started the job i have just left i was earning £12.5k a year. i got a mortgage which cost me £250 a month (i know i know, its now even less thanks to the base rate!) and it was still bloody tight financially, managable but tight, that after bills etc left me with about £400 spare per month, which went towards eating, petrol and car finance.

you would be paying twice that in rent.

ive spoke to my girlfriend who used to rent in liverpool, she paid £290 pcm for a studio flat in toxteth (yes i know it doesnt have nice views of boats but theres cracking street entertainment going on), that would be more manageable on your income.

and think..

If you overstretch yourself then you wont be able to buy anymore, new and shiny camera toys

whats a studio flat?

and i thought about flat share, but im a bit scared of that since i lived with a girl i didnt know and had to get a restraining order against her coz she was mad.

well in my other halves case it was one big (and it was pretty huge as it was a big old toxteth house) room which is your living room and bedroom plus a bathroom and a kitchen. i guess they vary in exactly what you get rooms wise

dear god!

I'm new here, but you Asher... your some character

So...just to get this in context.......

You're going to be on £200 or so a week, but you want to rent a nice flat in a good area and pay all your bills and eat?

Good luck

doesnt that make u know ** bedding andf stuff smell of the food u cook? just wondering.

not a good area just one where i dont have a chance of being shot. an ok area, and a flat that doesnt have cockroaches and mould

move to Glasgow!

You wont get any of that up here

i know that i just wondered if vauxal or however u spell it is an alright area, that is also near all the jobs im applying for

Ashers, best of luck, but are you confident of getting this job or is this all a big "IF"
