Speaking of which, do you know yet if your camera kit is undamaged?

Best wishes to the both of you, dreadful news. I hope you both get back to your usual selves soon.

Sorry to hear about your accident But glad one of you back home now at least.

I know its hot but a bit of an extreme way to turn the car to a convertable.

Speedy recovery to you both.

I'd spotted this on Darrell's Facebook page the night it happened and have to say I was pretty shocked.

All our thoughts are with you both for a full and speedy recovery.

Very sorry to hear this guys, wishing you both a very speedy recovery.

Lucklily the 5d3 wasnt in he car at the time, the 500d was, which does urn on amd shoot but i dont think its auto focusing very well, tried with a few lenses and all seem soft, the sigma 150-500 was loose in the back too which has taken a beating

Good luck and best wishes to both of you.

Wow thank you all for you best wishes!!, really means alot too us both, i am now safely back in the comfort of my own bed, few broken bits and pieces but nothing that wont heal in time.
Matt has had to stay in for another nights as the surgery to his arm was postponed until today (nothing to serious just a laceration that needs some good old stiching).
Give us both a week or so and im sure we will both be back fighting fit.

Well I'm glad you are home - I was shocked when I heard.

Here's wishing you and Matt both a strong and steady recovery.

Get well soon guys.

best wishes to those involved and families and friends, get well soon.

Holy fnark! All the best to both for a speedy and full (hell, I'll even settle for a slow but full!) recovery.

And thanks to Sarah for shifting this to OOF - I'd have missed it where it was.

Good lord....Speedy recovery!!!!

Ooh er! Very best wishes to both of you foa total recovery and don't worry about the car - I never liked TR6s ;)

wishing you both all the very best and full and prompt recoveries!!

I'd like to thank you all for the well wishes, I'm now home also, got to have my dressing on my wound changed daily, so will be seeing the district nurses for a couple of weeks, I'm very sore all over and expect to be for a few weeks :(

I got my phone back today and turned it on, the number off messages of support were overwhelming and that's before seeing this thread, this is why I love TP and TPers

I'd also like to say a very special thanks to Steve (smokygoose) who was one of the many members of the emergency services on the scene, without whom I most likely wouldn't be able to post this now

Glad your both on the mend, close shave doesn't come into it.

I have nothing but praise for all our emergency services, without them many people would be in a worse place now.

Just picking up on this - hope you both make a speedy recovery and Matt, hands off those district nurses.:lol:

Good luck,
Ken

Sorry to hear the news, hope you two guys make a quick and speedy recovery.

Just seen this. good to hear the recovery has begun
All the best boys

Sorry to hear about the accident guys. I'm glad you're both out of hospital and the prognosis is good. Cameras and cars are just "stuff" and, as frustrating as it can be to have them damaged, they can be easily replaced. Hope you both make a speedy recovery.

No Sea King rock up? Abysmal effort...;)

Glad you are both relatively ok and back home! I am back your way mid AUg - will drop you a line..
