Hi,

Does anyone know where sells these at a price that doesn't break the bank? And does anyone have any experience of using the cheaper "compatible" inks? I have read elsewhere that they can clog the printer nozzles, yet some people say they are just as good as the genuine ones.

Cheers

What printer is it for?

I the advice I was give to prevent clogging was do a 2 for 1 , use 2 set of compats and then 1 set OEMs .

+1 for Justinkandpaper. Don't think anyone is lower on genuine inks............. unless YOU know otherwise?

Another +1 for Justinkandpaper in Guernsey. Been using them for a few years for genuine Canon and the prices have always been really good.

Bear in mind that the "no VAT" loophole is being closed by the government in April so might be an idea to stock up a bit!

I have used genuine inks for years, but decided i would try some compatables. I have used the Jet-tec and found them excellent, no problem at all. The 7dayshop ones i used were cheap inkrite, they were terrible. At the moment i am using Cartridge peoples own brand, i would say they are good but the blacks are not as deep as Canon or Jet-tec. I have not experienced any clogging with the jet-tec, but did with 7dayshop.

Can't remember what brand the compatible cart I used was but it put me off being a cdheapskate WRT inks for ever - poor colour rendition, faded fast and I didn't leave the cart in the printer long enough for the risk of nozzle blockage to be a worry. used a fair amount of genuine ink as a flush to reduce the risk even further.
I usually get mine from 7dayshop but they sometimes have packs of all 3 colours (no black) and 50 sheets of apaper in the local large Tesco at a good price

+1 for 7DayShop. Prices are good for originals. Only drawback is they wont deliver to anywhere other than cardholder's address so wont deliver to work.

is there anymore? a link if so :)

I noticed yesterday in tesco that they have started selling them in a new three ink bubble pack. It matched all of the newer ink packs so I presume they are still actively marketing them. It was £40 for the three colours but I scanned it in the amazon app and they had it at £32. Amazon also do them individually at about 8.50 to £9.50 per ink so cheaper that way.

I have a ip5200r so also need those inks.
