Who was it was using these? How are they with C41 B&W films?

Looking at their dev + scan as 18mp scans which is far more useful than the 4Mb I get from my current lab for the same money.

Would also allow me to use some real B&W as ISO400 is way too fast in current conditions.

i am building myself up to it as I find their postage costs a little steep. They are not too far away from me though, and when I had trouble sorting out using their website they were very helpful indeed. Once I finish the roll in my camera I will be sending 3 off to them.

You don't strictly have to shoot at ISO400 you know? I'd be very surprised if you didn't get anything but stellar results shooting half box speed.

I actually shoot XP2 at 500 which gives me the results I want. Anything over exposed come out too flat, looks more like Acros. would probbaly suit a lot of people , but not me!

I have just shot some 800Z at 400, which by the examples I've seen should look damn fine! Unfortunately even 400 was too much so a lot was shot at 200, I'm not so sure how that's going to look!

I use Genie exclusively when I shoot film these days, my local lab have taken to returning negs with fingerprints and copious amounts of dust, complete amateurs. Genie are very resonably priced in my opinion and can thoroughly reccomend their professionalism.
