General Rant......

Hi all...

After a long period of not posting images due to computer house keeping and finally deciding to index all my images and redo back up.... (Long and painful task..)

I finally sat down this evening at 7.30 and decided it was time to upload new images to Pbase and get posting again...

I spent an agonizing 2 hours selecting images for resizing and upload, started my batch size conversion and thought to myself bath, beer and uploading time..

Returned from bath with beer in hand..only to find drive had decided to eat its own intestines.

3-4 months work down the drain in a matter of 30 mins...

All I can say is thank god for external back up drives and good sound insulation as my next door neighbors hair would have fallen out with the words streaming from my mouth.

Any way.. new drive in machine and restoring back up.. so will post images tomorrow hopefully, will be glad to get some comments to help me along the way again.

That reminds me I'm due to back up. My stuff is duplicated on three drives and I burn to CDs now and again too.

Hi MooMike...

When I was last in Maplins they were knocking out some quite cheap drive around the 500 gig range, but saying that I was in the Apple store couple of weeks ago and they had a lacie 1 TB drive for around the 300 mark which i thought was good.
