Hi i am a beginner at photography, & i saw an addvert for a Gemini 500 ProTwin Head Travelpak with batery SH for £700, so i bought the kit. I also own 4x Phottix Atlas Wireless Flash Trigger with work great with the kit. My qustion is, if i bought a Bowens Pulsar Plug-In Radio Trigger Card, & the Bowens Gemini Remote Control, could i control the power of the lights with the RC & still use my Phottix Atlas Wireless Flash Triggers ? Thank you.

£700 for that kit is bloody good value.
I think you should be able to do what you want to with them,but it may be worth trying if you can first

The cheaper Bowens remote is not brilliant unless you're standing right underneath the head. It uses infra-red (like a TV remote) and bright lights (such as a modelling lamp) don't mix too well with it.
When it comes to the Bowens radio cards, these are set to only work with the Bowens Pulsar or Pocket Wizard systems (depending on which card you buy). They won't work with any other radio triggers.
You would still be able to use the jack socket to trigger your lights from other triggering systems or PC sync cables etc.

Thank very muh for your replies. Is the dearer Bowens RC3 RM (£119.95) any good ? My idea is to use my Phottix Atlas Wireless Flash Trigger to fire the heads... & hopefully adjust the power up & down with the RM & its battery. Do you think that might work ?

I haven't personally used the RC3 so couldn't comment on whether its more effective or not. It is the same principle as the cheaper remote, being IR.

According to one of the guys at the Biwens stand at focus the rc-3 has been discontinued. Apparently the latest one (rc-6?)has been updated but they haven't changed the number or the look of it.
Supposed to have addressed the range on it but depending on where you buy it from plenty of old stock still in the system. Been using it for a while and its ok but not brilliant.
The pulsar plug in cards are a nest solution, the only drawback is I can't find a light meter that will trigger the lights using them.
