I am so happy I have found this site and am really looking forward to participating in the forums and in the galleries. You are an inspiring group and I am sure I can learn a lot from you.

I have been into photography for about 4 years now and own a Canon 5D and also a Canon 30D. Photography is a passion for me so I spend as much time as I can out and about taking pics of my home state of Tasmania and I also love taking macro shots of flowers.

I have lots of relatives in Australia, my parents and brother and family near Perth, Aunt and cousins in Queensland and a cousin and her family in Tasmania. I will be visiting Perth later in the year.

Hello Maggie,
I'm from North Wales and have recently found this site and found there are so many friendly people here who help with your photos. It makes me laugh to see how many people are actually on line to this site its quite amazing, hundreds per day.
Its better than the TV at night, there is so many interesting threads going on all the time. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I do.

Thanks for the great welcome everyone. Guess most are asleep by now as I've just woken up down here is Tassie. I can see the beach from my house and as it's Australia Day today people are already making their way down there. Guess I might take my two little dogs for a walk on the beach first and then later today have a BBQ to go to.
