gay weddings?

There was a good article in Professional Photographer this month about a lesbian wedding. Naked waiters and everything! Looked rather cool!

I shot my first civil partnership this year - two guys. I was honest with them and said I hadn't done one before. I didn't know what to expect but it all turned out fine.

Just treat it like any other wedding - two people proclaiming their love in front of all their friends and family. When it comes to couple shots just put them in a nice setting and let them do their own thing.

I would imagine it's much the same as shooting a normal wedding?. I don't see the quandary here, unless lesbians require special lighting?.

Sorry, it's the December Issue of Digital Photo Pro. It's got that Church woman on the front.

I know what you mean about them being a lot more relaxed, they seem to be able to have a laugh all the time and just don't let the pressure get to them!

I agree with the sentiment that it shouldn't be any different to any other wedding. Except perhaps being less hellish if they are a more relaxed group.

Although I have known lesbian couples that are plenty uptight. (please add your own smut and inference here if you require it) ;)

I went to one where the couple were male, it was very relaxed and the whole thing felt more relaxed close and intimate than the normal very formal ones I have been to. Not sure if that helps at all.
I would just chat to them and see if there is a particular feel that they eant to it, and otherwise treat as for a normal wedding.

Do you mean Shagalot Church?;)

I really don't see how the fact that the couple are gay should make this any different from any other wedding  Unless I'm just being thick

As has already been said, treat it as any other wedding and you will not go far wrong.

I can see exposure problems with two white dresses :D

do you have a bride and a bride? or two "freinds"?
spose it depends on how the couple themselves want to see it.
we will see. havent been back to us yet. i realy want to do an over the top gay male wedding. pink limo pink sutis , all that. should i be worried. i dont like show tunes much.

I did a lesbian partnership back in the summer. It was a hoot! One of the best days. Most of the crowd were straits as everyone has friends and family!
We had a drag queen to meet and greet, sweep on stilts, steel band, magician, group etc.
Of course they had an album so they could show it off to all their friends.
So dont worry treat it and them just like a normal couple and you will be fine!
I am just updating my site to include some samples of this one so go to

martinwoodphotography.co.uk

and have a look. Should be updated anytime now if not already.

I did my son's God fathers !!! I think this are some pic's in my Gallery from it !
