Hi!

Doing my first bit of food photography in my local pub this weekend. Need all the help and advice I can get! Lens? Lighting (umbrella? Soft box?) the pub has very little to no natural light. Help! :/

Hope

Studio light, large soft box on a boom directly over the food and a suitably sharp lens. I normally use macro due to how sharp they are.

Realistically how much time have you got with each dish?
Proper styling in the middle of a pub probably isn't going to happen.

Quickest way is soft flash lighting to the rear of the food and use reflectors at the front, just make sure you have consistency between each shot as I guess they are going to used on the same web page/menu?

I used a mixture of 24-70 or 90 TSE lenses for the foods books I've done, make sure you don't blow any highlights and the food looks clean and bright.
