It is called Remnant Kings by Artist Ian Randall Date 1997
it refers to the remnants of the once thriving textile and mining industries of the area.

Nice spot on the bauble. I think quite a few people wouldn't have been able to resist popping it. I'm glad you didn't :D

I like this Gary, it has a lot of possibilities. I think that I would work the angles and see what a long exposure would get me.

Does it say "RUDO" above the 1897? Do you know what that means?

I think it’s RUDC
Ramsbottom urban district council
disbanded in the 60’s I believe

Will definitely be revisiting and trying alternative angles

What a shame it's disused. Would cost a fortune to build nowadays.

Nice and colourful, water looks good. I'm thinking what is to the left and bottom of the photo, maybe nothing of interest but the action of the water is leading my mind there.

It’s just big wide man made slope into Bradshaw Brook
 
Looks like you would get a Powerful Push from that water...great image.
 
Plenty of p's in there. Your shutter has really captured the power of the water.
 
I like it and I can almost hear the water :D

I might have to go to the loo now :D
