weekly Gary’s 52 for 23 Week 52 - Favourite of the year

Perfect image for the theme. Hopefully no permanent damage and as Helen says should come back by itself in time.

Pretty (unsightly)
The banks of the Irwell with the seasonal growth of balsam

A good take on the theme Gary. It's odd how stuff like Himalayan Balsam and Bindweed have such pretty flowers but are such trouble.

Windows within rear window

Week 30 - Windows.jpg

Window and windows reflection, double hit for the theme
Thanks for the comment, I almost took it through the lounge window to give an extra window in the shot

Catching up on my comments. Don't know where the time went...

Unsightly and Pretty: two things I dislike intensely...burnouts on grass and Himalayan Balsam...good shots though...
Windows: a good creative take on the theme Gary, well done.

Thanks for the comments
the marks on the grass caused by council building an artificial cricket wicket, which to my knowledge hasn’t been used yet

Several abandoned vehicles

Week 31 - Abandoned.jpg

I specifically walked down the back street to get this shot, I remembered these vehicles from a previous dog walk

Old Land Rovers never die, no matter how long they are abandoned!

Nice shot for the theme.

I have lived round here for about 10 years and I think they’ve been there all this time. Maybe the owner of the house has no idea as to what they would have been worth

This made me smile. We have a similar property not too far away.

Cute.. looks like he's waiting for you to wrestle it from him!

Once he has it , he won’t let go although he will swap it for ‘treats’

Well done with the balsam, you managed to hit two themes with one shot.
I had the same idea for windows but couldn't quite pull it off, so glad I did something else now.

Only a very few left. I would have been tempted to crop the right hand rogue bale out as it is slightly distracting.

That's a nice bit of art that, good and colourful.
Thanks Dave, it’s a while since I’ve been that way on my afternoon walk, it was a nice surprise
gave me a chance to test my new to me xc16-50 fuji lens

Bright and interesting shot. Nicely framed too.

Urban(decay)
this used to be a thriving pub on the outskirts of town, been empty for a couple of years
