I recently ordered a studio setup from Lencarta which consisted of the Smartflash starter kit (2x 200w Heads, Background, Stands, Umbrellas, trigger) and two additional heads with background reflectors.

Delivery from the warehouse was prompt and only spoiled by a lazy (sh)itylink driver who couldnt be bothered looking for my delivery location. A quick call to Garry who gave me a consignment number so i could chase with the depot and all goods received on the next day's attempt :)

Unfortunately I encountered a hiccup upon inspecting the order:

• One missing umbrella

I phoned Garry who sent out a replacement the same day :)

Once the umbrella arrived I assembled the studio for testing and discovered more problems:

• Damaged background reflector
• Inoperative radio trigger


A third phone call to Garry and without any fuss, drama or quibbles he agreed to replace the faulty goods and even arranged a courier to collect the damaged stuff so I didn't even have to pay return postage. Everything tested and working perfectly :thumbs:

This post is really to acknowledge Garry's excellent service and calm approach to a situation that was beyond his control. I will definately be using Lencarta again as and when I upgrade.

Ill start by saying im happy with Lencarta's products...Price V Quality they are great.

However I also had a similar situation when ordering, the order arrived one light down and one light with a faulty modeling lamp. It took several emails and phone calls to get it sorted. It would appear there warehouse staff ain't great.

There stock management seems to be VERY poor, if you take a look at their site at the moment they have neither 300W or 600W heads available and as a result are due to lose a customer to a rival.
 
I guess they are a victim of their own success. It is expensive to have lots of stock sitting there and its a very tough job to balance that with having enough. Sods law means they get loads of stock in and things go quiet!

Very impressed so far with quality and service.
 
I have a niggly issue, but won't go into details....

Will report back once its all sorted....

So far, Garry seems like a nice guy to deal with.....
 
As I've said in another thread, I should know very soon when the 600 heads will be back in stock. The 300 heads are in fact in stock now, and so is nearly everything else.

That's very true. A massive increase in orders, plus a very high volume of orders from local authorities/colleges etc + pro studios does make it difficult to plan ahead.
