Evening all,

We're closing in on finishing our garden remodel so attention is turning to the finishing touches, one of which will be festooned garden lights over our pergola. I'm after a 20m run of lights.

Have any fellow forumers bought from somewhere they'd recommend please? Also, my intuition would be that E27 bulbs in the festoon belt would be better than fixed bulbs - where if one goes, it can't be replaced - but that seems a rare and very expensive option. Any thoughts?

All experiences welcome please as I navigate this minefield of cheap lights, unknown suppliers and stock issues!

The guys who did mine a few years ago supplied the lights and hardwired them onto my lighting circuit. They’re weatherproof but I don’t know the brand. I’ll take photos for you when it’s dark tonight

I bought these earlier on this year to go around the edge of a gazebo. It came as 2 sets of 15 but only need 1 and they look and feel excellent quality, you can also add many sets together.

You can see them here

I had an electrician install 4 mains sockets in my garden. I then bought 'techmar' 12 volt garden lights which I can change myself if necessary, which it frequently is as plants grow etc. The system is excellent with a wide range of suitable garden lights.
