Anyone picked up the First series on Blu-Ray or DVD? Mine came on Monday and I've been slowly working my way through the episode commentaries, some of which are highly cringeworthy.

Just a few weeks now until the Second Series, and I'm really excited!

Yep. Blu ray.

Loved the season when I watched it last year. Enjoying watching it for the second time. Can't wait for season 2

The other half is reading them, I've decided not to as my 'to read' pile is quite literally up to my shoulder (and I'm 6' tall). People like Joe McNally keep writing books without a thought for very busy people!!

Also working through Series 1 again, but the cheap ass way, Sky Plussed from 1st time round!

When's the 2nd series airing?

read the books a while ago. First series on DVD ordered for my b'day (in a couple of weeks) so hopefully get to watch it all soon. Haven't seen anything of it yet - looking forward.

When I finished watching TV shows I was looking for a new one and then I found this one. The rating was high so I decided to give it a try although I am not a fan of medieval stories. Now I can't stop watching it, the best TV series I have ever seen in my entire life!

Just on the fifth book which I have read one after the other. Fantastic and much more detailed than the TV series which I am watching now. The TV series is also extremely good. Whoever said don't get attached to any character is quite right. The twists and turns are often quite surprising and leave you wondering where it is heading.

Chris :)

I loved this series, really looking forwards to series 2 in April :)

Let's just hope they don't make it too complicated so Americans can't follow it

I'm just fed up with getting to the second season of a good series to find its been scrubbed without an ending , carnivale springs to mind, I was really enjoying it, they left season 2 with a cliffhanger and that was it, game over, not even one more episode to tie all the loose ends up

I've noticed a few series where they're doing start middle and end in 50 minutes, blue bloods is one, what a turkey, they have a suspect in the first 10 minutes every episode

The best cop show i've watched in years is southland but it got cancelled after season 2 , it was only because TNT bought the rights it continued

Thw walking dead , great season 1 , season 2 ground to a halt after the first episode, it was like the station owner got the zombie makeup bill for season 1 after the first episode and said whoooaaaaa, on the farm , 2 zombies only

Once you've enjoyed a movie, that's it, you can watch it again but it'll never be the same, a good TV series can be enjoyable for years or until Americans lose interest in it.

I believe the 2nd series starts on Monday 2nd April. One day after the Americans so no having to wait months like some series.

I liked this show, and I'm not usually into all the fantasy carry on. I've been watching quite a few boxsets recently and it is up there with Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire.

hope to get round to seeing this at some point, sounds fantastic!

I don't watch a great deal of TV (and there's always something else to do) and the telly I do watch atm is taken up with The Walking Dead!!! (poor Dale btw!!)

BUMP

So who watched it tonight on Sky? What a great opening to the new series! And what an incredibly brutal way to end the episode, even by Game of Thrones standards.

Can't wait to see how this season will play out. I think I hate Joffrey even more than I did before.

This and broadwalk empire are the only things I miss about SKY, Virgin dont get it and I finally got p'd off with SKY+ crashing and they refused to replace it even though we had insurance. Until we cancelled of course, then they seem to care again
Time to go box set hunting, unless anyone selling? Hope this isn't against forum rules?
I missed the end of the last series...... grrrrrrr

I've been reading the books, so I'm not expecting anything that exciting until the red wedding!

I wanna see more naked blonde lass, more dwarf smashing heads in with his shield, more incest, more lesbian whores and more complications.
(:love:That's just a small but accurate list for those who foolishly missed the first series)
If they let me down on even one of them I'll be not too pleased.
(And they killed me off in the middle!)

I'm itching to watch it, I was at work! Roll on tomorrow night!

Love it. Fantastic performances from the young cast members as well as the older ones.

Really enjoyed it last night, especially as it continued straight on from series 1. The ads are a pain but i guess are something we have to get used to...if only i had sky+.

I just wish Joffrey would die

Keep watching then, everyone dies at some point

I've been tempted to start reading the books, but i don't want to spoil the tv series.

I'm guessing the books have lots of other related bits of story line?

Only good bit in the first series was the naked blonde woman. More of that in the second?

the only thing i enjoyed from GOT was the oatmeal comic about trying to buy season 1 dvd :D

the actual tv series bored the pants off me to be honest, and i so tried to like it..

well, I guess there had to be 1 or two people in the entire universe that didn't like it. There's no accounting for taste :D:D

I think Maeargery Tyrell is going to become my favourite character, but I'm sure it's going to work out with such an old actress, especially come the adaptation of the 4th/3rd book.
