Gallery 3 Now Available for download

Will probably get rid of my wordpress site that I dont use and use Gallery 3 if its better than using NextGEN Gallery
 
mine is up and running if anyone wants to have a look i have mine up and running now

one of the 1st cool features i have seen compared to the others is uploading multiple images without having to mess aound with a patch/mod or without uploading to the server 1st

Header and footer removed very easily without php or html knowledge

I've been using Gallery on my own site since not long after v2.0 was released.

I'll leave 3.0 for a few weeks to let others to shake down the upgrade process. :)
 
Ooh. Very exciting. Will have to dabble aswell. Supposedly much more lightweight than number 2.

Just had a look via your link. Must say navigation is fast.
Is it single pics only or will it accept folders.
I currently use jalbum and I can keep my pics in folder type but it can be long winded when updating. Like this

it does folders but for some reason it adds them at the last page go to last each blue thing is a album i think something is missing probaly on the next release which will also sort any potential bugs out
so start reporting issues and it might be sorted quicker

either that or i just cant work it yet lol
 
and i must say although there is some bugs which is expectant as it was only released yesterday

already i have a shopping cart built in via pay pal , postage options , pic size options , price options

i have also added a mod so it givems me the bbcode for forums

aswell as a contact me via email link and just looking at google add words aswell to see if it works and these are all mods , plus there is diffrent themes anyway i will not post the link so happy uploading peeps

this could be without a doubt one of the best free gallery's online ot date

I've been using Gallery3 for a few months now in beta form. Will need to look at upgrading now :)

I've modified some of the files to suit my website colour scheme and provide IMG tags under the photos for quick and easy linking, but other than it's pretty standard. I've also removed the "stuff" from the sidebar, but I've not worked out yet how to display more images in the space that was the sidebar.

the gallery part should give it away :lol::lol:

it is just a online gallery for yourself to display your images kind of like flickr and photobucket but you run and set it up and personalise it with out annoying adds it works in the same way as flick r

i ahve added a option for prople to buy prints on mine

I will try adding them to albums and see if that fixes it, it is beta 3 dont think theres a newer one available.

Same problem with album... Will try install different theme later...

For some reason with version 3 I get the following
Whoa there!
There are some problems with your web hosting environment that need to be fixed before you can successfully install Gallery 3.

PHP is missing the mbstring extension

Out of interest, is the buy prints option part of the functionality of the Gallery or did you add custom code? ;-)

There was always the option of digibug with the plugins (these install via the admin pages, no customisation required).

I don't like the look of this gallery though, think gallery2 looked nicer. (Maybe nobody's gallery that I looked at like the way I like?)
