Hi, Looking to use the TP-Link TL-MR3040 with the DSLR Controller wireless. As not a buff when it comes to these pads/tablets can anyone give me some idea on what to go for please Galaxy or Nexus?
Obviously it needs to be an Android OS for the software but that is about as much as I no when it comes to pads and tablets!!
For ref in case you do not no what I want to do please look at

Many Thanks

What camera are you using. Much easier to setup using a Canon rather than a Nikon.

Hi, was going to try Canon 1DS MK II but found out after searching the net it won't play so now on my 600D for testing.
Thanks

Brought the tp-link, several months ago, to try it with my Nikon d600 or d90, but haven't got around to actually attempting it.

Another thing on my to do list

Nexus 7 would be my choice, either a first or second gen version, both great tablets. New price is £199-£299 depending on spec see here: Google First gen 16gb versions go for under £100 on eBay.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
Bought the Nexus 7 1st gen 32GB well under 100UKP just waiting for it to get here!!

They're smashing value at the moment and still a very capable device. I bought a 16gb 2012 version second hand about a year ago and when it turned up it was actually the 32gb version. They've got the official KitKat update and will get Android L in the autumn as well. Had zero problems with mine so very happy with it, in fact I'm looking to get a 2013 version and pass my old one onto my daughter.
I've done teathered shooting with DSLR Controller and a 5m USB cable and it works brilliantly so do keep us updated with the wireless version, seems a pretty cheap option.

Hi, Nexus has arrived but still waiting Amazon for the TP-Link
So should it be,
DSLR Controller or Dashboard?
Anyone used both?
Controller costs
Dashboard Free.
Many Thanks
Russ
