Galaxy ACE to Camera?

Hi, Have a Galaxy ACE 3 phone and works fine with DSLR Controller app via wireless option, phone works attached to Windows computer with USB but with an OTG cable to the camera/s 6D and 70D cannot get it to work. Have an Android tablet and that works fine attached to the cameras with the OTG cable but the phone just does not pick up the camera or app.
The OTG cable is not a cheap Ebay one it's Lindy make.
Any help please?

There's an appt you can download to confirm if your phone supports OTG.
If the apps confirms the Ace 3 supports it then there is no reason why OTG shouldnt work but there is a note on Chainfires site to say that it may not work with all legacy/cheap smartphones.

Some older stuff doesn't work with the OTG I have an older Samsung tablet that is the same.

but the phone just does not pick up the camera or app ? Check the Settings
