G7 with panasonic 12-35 2.8 mk2?

hi to everyone..
i would like to ask if there is any point to buy the 12-35mm mk2 instead of a mk1 to be used on a panasonic g7

Only if and when the G7 body is upgraded to a Lumix body with IBIS, the mk2 lens is then capable of 'dual IS', combining both the lens and IBIS at the same time. The problem with buying the Mk1 lens is it is but one body upgrade away to the G80 or similar, so mk 1 lens values might reduce somewhat. But of course, the extra outlay for a Mk 2 is currently substantial.

Have a look at this youtube vid for the differences. If cost is an issue go for the mk1, mpb have both versions in stock.

thanks Guys. I just bought the g7 and i am looking for a lens both for traval and for videoblogging.. I think i will go for the 11-35 mk1.
