Hi All,

I am compiling my christmas wish list and think I am going to ask santa (AKA my better half!) for the Raynox 150 & 250 clip on lenses to use with my Panasonic FZ8. My question is - do I need to get a adaptor to go with these or can I use the adaptor that you get with the camera to attach the lens hood?

I know there are a couple of people here using this kit already (you can't really miss Alby's amazing pictures in the macro forum!) and any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

DS :)

Will bump this once just in case anyone can help? :(

I have got a Raynox, all you do is press the little tabs at the sides to push against 2 springs on the inside then as you release them it clips to the lens where the filter thread is so its all you need without any other adapters - unless of course you need a stepping one to bring your lens within the 52-67mm that the Raynox would fit, in which case I'm not even sure how well it would work!!!!
You would not be able to use a hood with them, and I don't know what sort of adapter a Panasonic would use as I have Canons!!

Thankyou both - the FZ8 is a bridge camera and I know I can't clip these directly onto the lens. The hood supplied with the camera is fitted onto an adaptor that is screwed onto the body and encloses the whole lens. I know I need something like this for the Raynox lenses too but I'm not sure if the one for the hood is the right size
