Funny security guard encounter

I went to Birmingham yesterday and as it got dark I was taking some long exposures on the floor outside near the bullring bull when 3 security guards came and asked me (politely I must say) what I was doing? I resisted the urge to be sarcastic but I told them I was taking pictures. They asked what of, and as they could see the direction the camera was facing I wondered what they were getting at. It turns out they thought I might be taking upskirt shots. I did feel like explaining that the laws of physics prevented that but as I wasn't getting anything any good I moved on anyway. It was quite amusing really.
 
Do we get to see any of the shots you got off before you moved on?

Afraid I only took 3 or 4 and they were rubbish so I deleted them.
 
Lol oh dear, the bullring security is a bit complicated but I know the public/privatised rights end at the main entrance to the shopping complex at the bottom of the incline before you make you're way up into the building. Before this is the high street and any securital concerns to do with photography down there involves general pcso's or uniformed police. Just for anyone who might want a bit of info on this.
 
I was visiting Birmingham in the early 70's when the IRA blew up 2 pubs, I was searched by the police but they allowed me to carry on taking pictures. I guess they are still a bit jittery about terrorism.

I doubt the relatives of the 19 people that were killed that day would find it funny, but each to their own I suppose.

Meh, overbearing security happens to everyone, even the best.

Foo Fighters at the old Arco Arena, now called the Power Balance Arena. Last time I was here was with Metallica on the Black album in '91. Strange, I actually remembered it when I got here. The dressing rooms and corridors are brightly lit and clean looking to shoot in. Made Dave and co do some group shots. After shooting the whole show for three hours I got stopped by one security man at the side of the stage telling me you can't shoot pictures, only the first three songs. Bear in mind the band had just been playing for three hours and I'd been shooting the show. I just looked at him, and this was as they were finishing the last song, incredible how people cannot use their brain.
