Get a grip. He's a new member and highly likely to be unfamiliar with all the rules and regs. He tried to inject a bit of humour and if you don't like it move on. The mods will put him right if they feel the need.

Killjoys are becoming so trendy these days :(

David, This part of the forum is for posting your own photos for critique so I'm going to move it over to Out of Focus for you (that's where all the general chit chat and jokes go) - you'll find that members do actually have a sense of humour in there ;)

Welcome aboard BTW.
Looking forward to seeing some of your photo posts. Despite first impressions most of us really are a friendly bunch.

Given that this is a Critique section and not the Welcome section, I'm perfectly within my rights to say what I said.

And if you have so much time and warmth for him, why didn't you post words to that effect beforehand instead of jumping straight on my reply?
 
Your reply had been posted before I saw the thread. And your attitude stunk when I read it and it still stinks now. Sure you've a right to say whatever you like but generally it's best not to be mean.

You have a perfect right to point new posters in the right direction, what you don't have the right to do is to post in the manner that you did.
Frankly, the only reason that I haven't issued an infraction is that on a closer look it would seem that David is actually a spammer.

And on that note, mind the doors please.
