Funky wedding cakes

We've all been to weddings (as guests or toggers) or had weddings that've had a funky wedding cake.

So, just for fun I thought I'd start a thread.

This is just a snapshot of ours taken by my aunt, meant to take a pic on the night with my camera, but just never got round to it (let's face it, wedding days are manic!)

So, come on, let's see yours

Well this is something Chris and I are hoping to blossom into a small business together He bakes the cakes, which are to die for, and I decorate them!

This is the first dummy wedding cake I have decorated for display purposes. I hope to have plenty more soon, but I'm just starting a new job and need time to adjust to that first before we embark on any more cakes stuff.



Someone did also ask if this could be done as a wedding cake I don't know if they were serious, I guess we will have to see if they come back and place an order!



You'll have to excuse the pictures as Chris took them with his P&S. I didn't get chance to set up proper shots with them before they were whisked off for display.

We had a Helter Skelter, with little models of me and the missus going down the slide. Have to scan a shot at somepoint, was cool!

not a wedding cake but was daughters first birthday over the weekend and this is the cake the missus did for her.

she makes cakes for a large northern bakery so does alot of wedding cakes so will try to find some and post later.
