Hi guys,

I have (and love!) a 1970's Canon FD 55mm 1.2. I was cleaning it the other day and noticed fungus has started to grow on the inside of the rear element - noooooo!

Its curently at my local repairer, but I have a feeling it will be uncleanable/not cost effective.

Does anyone have any tips on killing/remove fungus DIY-style, or how to at worst just sloq the growth?

Any advice would be great!

Sam

Leaving the affected lens's mouldy bits in full sunlight is said to kill the fungus and keeping it bone dry should help too.

Thanks for the tips and thank link guys, fingers crossed it can be saved!
