Fujifilm launches the FUJINON XF16mmF1.4 R WR

Thanks for posting the link. Think I'll be picking one up as soon as it's released. So glad I held off on the 14mm now.

Personally wouldve used a much longer FL than that for the snake shot! :exit:

Haha!! Will see what price the likes of panamoz etc have it for I think

£729 pre order at wex
Does that mean that people in the UK aren't getting done on the dollar/yen to sterling conversion for a change? If it's like any of the other Fuji lenses I've used, then that's a decent price.

Wonde how it will compare to the like of other brand 24mm lenses.

Cheaper than the equivalent Full Frame 24mm lenses, the Nikon 24mm f1.4 and Canon 24 f1.4 are over £1000.
The new Sigma Art 24mm f1.4 is similarly priced though

Yes, but they are made for FF image circle. DX lenses afaik are cheaper to produce, one of the reasons Fuji went with APSC.

Agreed but we have in the past that the lenses are not cheaper than their FF equivalents its good to see this one is

Looks very tempting! I'll be interested to see if people/reviews think it is as sharp as the 14mm f2.8. I use the 14 and at f5.6 it is absolutely razor sharp across the frame.

I think I will give that one a miss at the beginning. 16-55 does it for me. Maybe if a 12mm comes out..
