Having finally had time to put my Fujifilm Finepix F500 EXR on my tripod, I wonder if anyone knows where/if I can get an auto shutter release attachment for it?

I’ve had a look on EBay, but can’t seem to find anything.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

FWIW i looked it up and there is no mention of an official external plug in shutter release but it does say this in the specs:-

Self-timer 10sec. / 2sec. delay / Auto release / Auto shutter(Dog, Cat)

So, it seems there are settings you can use to do what you describe but as they don't list such a plugin device I doubt that there are 3rd party ones to find!
