Hi was fortunate to pick up a Fuji XF60 lens secondhand from Campkins in Cambridge, was £255.00. The lens came in the original box and is in excellent condition, the only thing missing is the lens hood.I looked online and WEX want £54 for an original metal one. Various forums seem to think that the rectangular hood from the XF35 lens serves the job admirably also the original one more than doubles the length of the lens. Any opinions on this or lens hoods in general? John

One with and one without the supplied hood shot across a bright light source, the sort of conditions where you'd benefit from a hood. Guess which is which!

And yes, it is massive, almost as long again as the lens but larger diameter.

Thanks guys, i also always use a lens hood, but was thinking I'd give the one off my 35mm lens a shot as others say it works for them on the 60 lens.

Just tried the hood from the 35 on my 60 and was surprised to find it fits and works fine. Much smaller and easier to carry than the 60 hood, and it probably still gives reasonable flare protection.

I'm on the hunt for a bargain 60mm, I didn't try my 35 hood on the last one I had :S Reading this I think i'll get another 35 hood and pop it on the 60 when I find one at the right price :)
