Fuji x100/S/T/F Owners Thread

Never had or seen an X-Pro2.
Just struggling to get to grips with everything.
Doesn't it take a long time to switch off? Must be eating the battery.

Ok, can you give some examples of what is second nature with XT2 but not with X100F?
Are you using the OVF? If that is causing you grief maybe stick with EVF for now? Though I don't know how the quality of the EVF compares with the XT2 EVF?

Switch off time is just a menu setting ...

Its not bad, for what it is, try it, but it only works in JPG mode, hence my RAW function button which when pressed switches me out of RAW+JPG, and the next shot is JPG only, it then automatically goes back into RAW+JPG
One button is set to go from Raw to Raw & JPEG. Not sure if that's a good thing. Can't use Digital teleconvertor with that.

5 function buttons +AELAFL + Rear Dial can all be set, Fn2 on the front is quite useful

FYI - mines set up as follows:-

Fn1 - AE Metering Modes
Fn2 - RAW so I can quickly switch to JPG to use digital teleconverter
Fn3 - Auto ISO selection (1 = 200-1600 1/60, 2 = 200-3200 1/80, 3 = 200-6400 1/200)
Fn4 - Custom Film Simulations
Fn5 - AF points (single/Zone/Wide)
AELAFL - AF-L
R-Dial - Focus Check Magnification

With Drive being Drive (!) everything I need is pretty much to hand, other stuff on My Menu (like ND filter) or through Q menu

Just examining that, the only difference we have is that I have one button for self timer instead of Film Simulations. On the T2 I have both.

Here's a very quick shot with the digital teleconvertor of the packing need to place the magnet where it will work. It's a long way from the angled bit of the case.

Had a trip into town to play with the toy camera. Tried out my £3 fisheye gizmo.

Effin thing is nowhere near sharp at 1/210 and f8.

That's a relief.
I can cross that off the things I don't like about the kit!
It was sharp at f2. I did some focus stacking to test.Stack.jpg
Damned compression even takes away the sharpness on this:mad:

Nice to see the clocks got all its hands back, on Saturday they were rehanging one side.

At least two bacon butties worth.....
I'm sure there is a hidden message in there but it's way beyond my pay grade to understand.
Not had a bacon buttie for weeks. Hope the guy at the bottom of Rhualt Hill is open on Saturday.

How much is needed to get a level horizon?
I find the more I spend, the less level horizons become
There's a hint of barrel distortion on your £3 lens, and the CA at the edge is quite noticeable !

Just realised I shouldn’t be posting in this forum as I no longer have an X100 series camera. But I see digitalrev are now selling the X100F at £859, very tempting

Talk about close focussing. The wide angle adapter was about 1/2 inch from the front of the tin!Tate and lyle.jpg

Another from my Australia trip, which I'm slowly editing. We stayed here for a night on our way up to Kangaroo Valley.

Finally managed to get the WCL & TCL to work as they should.
Used the TCL and took a shot out of the bedroom window of the extreme weather conditions we are having.

Looks rough, hope you have plenty of supplies in!

Very similar weather here if you just imagine that scene with a foot of snow covering everything.

Yup. All stocked up. Think we can last till SWMBO can struggle to Tesco tomorrow.

Had a nice battle with magnets. All sorted now.
