Fuji x100/S/T/F Owners Thread

I've been trying to customise my F today,I want the back dial to do the ISO any help appreciated.

Go to Spanner setting in Menu.
Highlight Button/Dial Setting, Scroll Right for Function (fn) Setting Scroll Right.

You will now See diagram of Camera, Scroll down to last item RDIAL Scroll Right it’s on page 2/4 at the Bottom ISO AUTO SETTING.

Advice needed please - I'm thinking of getting the original X100 so I have a compact to go with my X-T1 set up but am not sure if the original model is still a viable option?
I can't afford to spend a huge amount as I've invested quite heavily in lenses etc for the T1 so the newer models are out of range.
I'd be interested to hear what you guys think about it.

Done all that but just can't set it.

Did you press Menu/ Select Button to Enter the ISO Setting?

Also Press Display/Back Button until you’re out of the Menu System and back to the LCD Viewer.

Get one. Still a fantastic camera. Bit slow to focus. I've had 3, wouldn't hesitate to have another. Many people prefer the colours from that Bayer sensor.

Free paper from the camera shop.
Ah! We don't have them up here. Not within 30 miles, anyway! And I didn't see it in Dales of Leeds on Wednesday. :(

Thank you Trevor, that's the kind of endorsement I was hoping for as I love the styling and want to stay Fuji if at all possible.

:agree: price has gone up though, seem to be a bit more collectable perhaps and I do love the bayer look from the original, proabably why I had 6 :)

You're welcome. It's the Original or the F. Don't be suckered into thinking about the S or T. There's no way you'll regret it.

No I won't, it will definitely be the original X100 as the F is too much at present.
I'm looking around for a minty one at the right price, decent ones seem to be quite pricey though considering the age of them but I guess that's the price of quality.

There is something very rewarding about using the original X100. It's a bit like a classic car, slow, and a bit bumpy, but the experience is delightful and the images can be sublime. I think some of my best shots this years with the original X100, there is something just right about those 12MP Bayer images. As long as you can live with a slower pace of photography it's a great camer.

Yep. Check out the serial number. Get one with a number starting 21 or higher.
Google X100 sticky Aperture Blades.

Thanks again Trevor, I read about the issue with that earlier but wasn't sure when the fix happened so it's good to know what to look for.
What would you expect to pay for a decent one?

Ghosts in the Machine.

Another shot from Bardolino (Garda Lake Front).

They seem to be rising in price. I'd probably go to £250. Maybe £300 for a really good one.

That sounds about where I'd want to be, thanks again Trevor.
I've got my eye on a couple.
I'm thinking I may sell a 23mm Fuji prime to fund this as I can then use the X100 in it's place.

Just purchased a pretty much mint X100 original with 4 batteries boxed for £290 so I'm pretty happy with that.
Looking forward to joining you guys here when it arrives.
Nice to have this and the X-T1 kit so I'm sorted now.

Nice one. Enjoy

Great combination.

There are a couple on mpb ATM :)

Thanks, I was about to purchase one last night but one has no picture so no idea of colour and the other has a picture of the TCL in black, although the TCL they are advertising has a picture of the WCL o_O And no staff until Monday to check what's what.

Does anyone know if there is a gadget that can clamp round the focus ring and has a lever type thing to make one finger focusing easier?

I hope that makes sense

I put lens focus lever into eBay search. It came up with a few ideas.

Afternoon - afraid to say I'm leaving the X100 world - it's a great camera, just deserves an owner who can make use of it. I've been snapping away with the iPhone too much to justify it sitting in the cupboard.
X100F in the classifieds as we speak.
All the best.

Something like one of these?:

People have also used cable ties for this purpose.
