Just a quick one, i've spotted today that the Fuji X10 is reduced on amazon to £450 whereas everybody else seems to be still at the RRP of £530. Should i be taking this with a pinch of salt or do we reckon its a good deal? i'm not really one for pre-ordering things so i don't really know how it works, do they say that now to get my custom then bump the price to £530 when its released?

any advice would be much appreciated :)

link is Here btw :)

That's from Amazon UK, as opposed to Amazon Marketplace suppliers, so I would buy with confidence. They have a very good rep (I've had nothing but good service from Marketplace peeps either).

But if that's a legit Amazon price, other retailers will be sure to follow pretty soon.

Edit: you might want to check the warranty. It will surely have one of course, but Amazon being the international giants that they are, it's maybe possible that they're not getting it through the formal Fuji UK channel, but another Amazon subsidiary. Not sure how Fuji UK handle things like that; some manufacturers are fine about it, others not.

that seems fair enough to me! thanks for the quick response guys, i think i'll get it ordered then, i'm pretty excited about it for some reason :|

Just to make you aware, Amazon posted a very favourable price for the x100 before it was released and kept people waiting months before finally sending out emails saying they couldn't fulfil those orders.

Normally Amazon are amazing but this annoyed quite a few people.

Okay, thanks for the heads up, if this is the case i'll be sure to cancel. It may be too late by then but for a saving of £80 i think i'm willing to take the chance :)

Most retailers have dropped the initial price of the Fuji X10 to around £450 now.

Blimey! £450 for an X10. Looks like my XZ-1 will be on the For Sale section soon!!:D (Providing image quality is better!!)

LOL Andy. How long have you had that?! There'll be an XZ-2 along shortly, then the X11... :D

And I'll probably buy them all!!

Sub-£400 by Christmas? pitched against the G11/12 price-point..

That would be nice!

Why does this camera appeal to me so much? I mean, I've just bought (as in a little more than a week ago) an Olympus XZ-1. :bonk:

Back up to £500 on Amazon now..

Following up a post on DPReview.. if you switch to amazon.de or amazon.fr (use your normal amazon.co.uk email address and pasword) the price is EUR 529.00 - which is just over £470 at todays Post Office exchange rate.
