Hi I wonder if anyone can throw a bit of light or add a suggestion regarding a flash trigger problem.
I have the following kit
Fuji XT-1
Fuji XE-2
Nissin i40 flash *2
Neewer FM Radio transmitter and 2* flash receivers
All have fully charged batteries and the latest firmware for both cameras and both flashes.
Now the problem
If I set up both flash units in manual mode and trigger them manually with the transmitter , the red lights flash on both transmitter and receiver and both flashes fire.
If I then attach the transmitter to the XT-1 , set manually, (there is no other option ) the transmitter flashes a very dim red ( almost like a flat battery) and the flashes do not fire, the flash receivers are not being activated.
If I attach the transmitter to the XE-2 again in manual mode everything works.
When I first got the set up the XT-1 worked OK, it works fine with the Fuji Pop Up Flash and the Nissins fire without any problem from the hot shoe.
I have done the obvious, changed all the batteries, cleaned the contacts on the XT-1 hot shoe but this does not make any difference.
It is almost as if the XT-1 is not providing a sufficiently high trigger voltage to the transmitter unit but why this should be I have no idea
Any thoughts , bright ideas etc would be much appreciated.
Regards
