Fuji superia X-tra

I prefer the 400 to the 200. For 200 I use poundland special.
 
Going to a poundland has been on my to do list for ages. Keep forgetting as I don't usually go into town.

Just found another roll of jessops 400 asa and some kodak elite chrome. Film stash seems to breed...
 
I've got some 1600 to try, but from what I've seen it does exactly what it says and looks rather pleasant under tungsten or fluorescent lighting.
 
You'll be waiting a long time, it's in the freezer! :P
 
Think it's less grainy than the jessops 400 I've used in the past so it is a winner :)
 
Well I must have used Superia 400 in the past by can't remember the results :( Anyway the jury seems to be out on this film as some like it and some don't, but most people seem to like Portra, but have no idea if it's any good for indoor shots as I haven't used it yet.
Not much help but all scraps of info builds up a picture (pun) :)

Portra 400 is probably the ultimate ISO 400 colour negative film (for the moment) as the grain is minimal at ISO 400 and only increases slightly when underexposed up to 2 stops (with normal developing!), plus it can cope with 3 stops of overexposure and give results easily equal to that of proper exposure.

I find portra weird. It seems to exhibit colour casts a lot. Mostly slightly greenish. I don't know whether that is a scanning issue or what.
 
I don't use a lot of colour but last 35mm colour rolls happen to be Portra and its one of my favourites! I used it in Italy and really liked the results.

Looking for another 5-pack of Portra 400 for 35mm, I was horrified to find them all over £35 or so!
 
Might be worth trying Kodak Ultra max 400 which would be code on the neg GC 400-9....I've used OOD boot sale Ultra max, code GC-400-8 and have got very good results from it i.e. indoor with flash and outdoor.......and the grain wasn't too bad.

Forgot to mention that I'm using ultamax 400 expired 2010 in my F401 now, but always carry two cameras around so it will be about 6 weeks before I get both films dev :)
