Yes
Just thought i'd share some pics taken today, read a few bad reviews on the IQ for this bridge but having tested it for a couple of days its not too bad at all, having had a few bridge cameras over the years anyone looking to buy one i would recommend this as it does have weather sealing which is pretty useful if you take your camera everywhere. Imo the IQ doesn't really change from one to another they all produce more or less the same results
1200mm

The latter shot needs some contrast and saturation etc.

I did use bridge cameras for quite a while before I could afford an DSLR,I got some great photos from them, but always found them bad at high iso,I think things have improved but not above 1600 and some 800.

I think the bridge has produced the more appealing photo above, I just set them at the same settings to see what happened

Quite a difference in colour, 60d was neutral so obviously needed changing but pretty impressed with this bridges IQ apart from the the bokeh there is little if anything between them

Some dslrs aren't great at high iso but certainly wouldn't push it with the s1

The first digital camera I bought was a Fuji S602 pro zoom. I thought that the focal range and general image quality was ok but the focus was very slow to lock onto anything that even thought about moving. I expect that modern bridge cameras have improved in that respect and if they have they'll be a good buy for many people, and some of the new ones are getting very good reviews :D

Yes they have improved still not great for moving subjects though it can be done with a bit of practice I guess the rx10 and fz1000 may be better for that will be interesting to see what the canon sx60 has to offer

Took it again today for more testing, have to say been pretty impressed , its really a joy to use and having 1200mm in an easy to carry camera is great but what really makes a difference is the shutter is so quiet which for wildlife is a bonus, couple of clicks with the 60d and everything was gone even in the so called quiet mode
