Fuji instax gone a bit wrong.

Picked up an instax 210 today and it seems the film was ruined or malfunctioned, all but one shot has a big black mark at the bottom and they all came out covered in emulsion, luckily I've managed to get most of it off the roller.

Does anyone know what's wrong with it. moreso, am I justified in asking for a replacement pack? or have I gone wrong somewhere?

I don't know the answer to your question and it appears that no-one else here does either. If it were my problem I'd certainly return it to the store and ask for a 'learned opinion' and if one wasn't forthcoming make an assumption the film was at fault and ask for a refund.

What little I do know about instant cameras would suggest there's a roller issue and I wouldn't put a second batch through until I'd got on top of it.
