Any one using a GX680, if so what are you using for camera body battery? I have looked at a few for sale on eBay, but most seem to be missing the battery pack. I'm not concerned about the battery in the film backs, as these are pretty standard, it's the main camera battery that I am intersted in. Any advice / information gratefully received.

I had one Adrian. I sourced a holder for 6 rechargeable AA size batteries from Japan. It's a genuine Fuji accessory. Obviously only available used now.
Beware they are super rare and very expensive. I paid over £100 for mine.

I also found it nigh on impossible to fit new batteries in the mk1/2 film backs. They are soldered in, not a big deal...but I couldn't open the thing up..!!!

If I were buying today I'd get mk3. At least the film back battery is easy to change in this model.

Great camera, let mine go because it was just too heavy.

I'm a little more savvy now and would probably get a bit more out of it. That's because I have a bit more understanding of movements.

Definitely get a set of bag bellows for it.

By the way. Got mine from Ffordes

Trevor, many thanks this is helpful. i have seen reference to the AA battery pack, but these seem very illusive. I used an original GX680 many years ago and would like to have another go. I am pursuing several at the moment but will only pull the trigger if the price is right.
